DeBonair Dunum
In June 2023 Debonair Dunum became the First ever Mr. Juneteenth Racine! Debonair is a good student, whom teachers and counselors say is a joy to have in school. Debonair will be graduating this year and plans to intern with the City of Racine Office of Community Safety before he embarks on college. He is excited to pass the Crown, and help mentor this year's Mr. Juneteenth Racine!
Working in the community
Since being crowned Mr. Juneteenth Racine in 2023 Debonair has been active in the community. In the last year Debonair has helped students at Julian Thomas Elementary with reading, received an award during the King Center's MLK Celebration, participated in several Black History Month events, and is spearheading a community clean up in the George Bray Center Neighborhood.
It is not always easy being the first to do or be something, but Debonair Dunum stepped into the role and defined how future Kings should wear their crown!
